　　邪恶的奈落与犬夜叉一行的战争愈演愈烈，为了保护心脏不受伤害，他在白灵山分离出一个能洞察人类心灵的婴儿，并将心脏托其保管。在此之后，婴儿被某高僧砍作两半，变成白童子和赤子。当得知奈落心脏的重要性时，这两个同样邪恶的童子决定反客为主。赤子利用魍魉丸不断加固体外的甲胄，白童子 和神乐则在与犬夜叉战斗的同时暗中与奈落展开对抗。老奸巨滑的奈落利用犬夜叉等人之手除掉白童子，并杀害神乐。犬夜叉、钢牙、杀生丸为了除掉奈落也不断提高各自的战斗力，双方的抗争终于接近高潮，宿命中的正邪决战在所难免……
　　2004年，由高桥留美子人气漫画《犬夜叉》改编的同名动画因赶上原著连载的进度无以为继，被迫中断。2008年《犬夜叉》漫画连载完毕，中断五年的TV动画版也再次启动，并命名为《犬夜叉 完结篇》。

　　随原作漫画第19卷DVD限定版捆绑发售。

在新的动荡的预感前，有一个短暂的幕间故事——
古城和雪菜在围绕圣歼的与沃特勒的战斗中获胜。
古城堡因为弓神岛被划分为自己的“夜晚帝国”而成为了岛上的实际统治者。

就在这个时候，关于弓神岛周边海域发生的原因不明的海难事故，

　　人类最终战争后的世界，大地被黑森林所覆盖，人类只能在被结界守护着的少许土地上生存。被病原体入侵的人类只要靠近天然的火身体就会燃烧，而唯一能够安全使用的火只能通过狩猎栖息在黑森林深处的黑色怪兽“炎魔”采集。
　　于是就此诞生了一种专门狩猎炎魔以获得火的职业，并谣传着其中的佼佼者“狩火之王”的传说。
　　故事以在村庄中长大的11岁少女灯子，与身在首都的15岁少年煌四为中心展开。

　　The second season premiere is scheduled for a global launch around September–November 2017 in Europe, At a panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, it was announced that the second season would have its North American release on Netflix in December 2017, with 13 episodes to be released. KidsClick will start airing season 2 of this show in the US starting 30 August 2018, marking the first time that Season 2 of this show airing on American over-the-air television. A third season is also in development. On 22 January 2018, Zag posted on Instagram that the crew was working on a fourth and fifth season. On 31 August premiered a new series with Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir which this time is in chibi style. On 5 September, 2018, Skydance Media has acquired the live-action film and live-action television rights.
