节目是由东方卫视《梦想改造家》团队操刀、段红导演执导的首档家装改造旅行真人秀，是家装改造口碑节目《梦想改造家》的另一种“升级”。节目以更短时间（两周内）的改造，更新了一次装修住几十年的传统装修理念，在房屋基础稳固的情况下实现快速、随性的房屋翻新。
