　　Series two will reunite us with Detective Sergeant Mackenzie ‘Mack’ Clarke (Anna Samson), who’s longing to get back to the UK and the life she’s always craved. 　　背景设置在近未来，主角是高级督察John Major及Roy Carver（Daniel Mays及Stephen Graham饰 ）；John及Roy是队中的灭罪精英拍档，但当一次卧底任务出错并造成John殉职后，警队因认为他是不可或缺的重要「资产」，于是决定把John的意识转移到一个实验性人工智能项目，使主角复活过来。
　　问题是，John Major 2.0虽然看似原版货，但其实在意识转移过程中漏失了不少东西，现在他的傲慢举动及过份热心的态度仍在，但破案直觉却通通丢掉了。

　　该剧改编自英国著名科幻小说家道格拉斯·亚当斯的同名系列小说。主角怪探德克，常常通过剖析事物之间基本的内在联系来破案。伊利亚·伍德饰演德克的助手托德。

剧集翻拍自挪威剧《绝命医师》，讲述外科医生丹尼尔(斯特朗饰)在悲剧命运的驱使下来到了一家伦敦的地下诊所，这家诊所愿意接治任何付钱的病人。在一位心怀不满的运输工(梅斯饰)和一位内疚的医学研究员(侯登饰)帮助下，他们接治了各种极度绝望与危险的病人。卢克·斯奈林(《相对无言》)执导，巴尼·莱兹(《黑镜》)担任制作人，马克·奥罗([男孩A])操刀剧本。剧集将于今年秋季播出。
